Ironwood Breaks Ground

Ironwood EntranceIronwood Development; a 400 acre residential/retail/commercial development in the middle of Grand Cayman…celebrated their ground breaking ceremony with many local politicians, business partners, dignitaries and the famous Arnold Palmer; designer of the (to be built) 18 hole golf course at Ironwood.  While it is not much to look at currently; the developer plans to begin construction on the new Frank Sound traffic circle in June. At about the same time; Silver Thatch Plaza at Ironwood will also be breaking ground. It is anticipated the plaza will open in early 2015.

Silver Thatch Plaza will be home to Tortuga Liquors, Domino ‘s Pizza; Beach Bubbles gift shop; Ironwood Development & Sales Office and also the Silver Thatch Concierge office with upstairs fitness center, business center and yoga classroom. Silver Thatch is not a typical trade or business; it is a NETWORK of Villa Owners, Preferred Vendors and Villa Guests looking to enhance the experience, amenities and services for rental villa vacationers on Grand Cayman. An idea conceived by the island’s two largest villa booking agencies; the Silver Thatch network is unique within the Caribbean.

As Ironwood is built out; the plan is for Silver Thatch members to also have access to the tennis and golf facilities at Ironwood.
